Huge construction project beginning early next year at Cabin John Village: Every storefront between CVS and Giant is about to be torn down. This long-awaited “cut-through,” first announced in 2018, will create a walk-through/drive-through corridor in the middle of the shopping center. Lined with stores, restaurants and ample sidewalks, this new configuration will provide easy access between the front and back of the property. The plan has displaced four Cabin John tenants, all of which have now moved or closed: Breadsmith went dark in 2020, The Grilled Oyster relocated last April, China Gourmet Bistro went out of business in October and Capital One Bank just opened in a brand new space.
