Finally we can tell you who’s taking over the former Baskin Robbins space at Cabin John Village: The Scoop, a new frozen dessert shop offering handmade ice cream, gelato, sorbet and Italian ice. It’s the first venture for Potomac-raised brothers Timothy and Mitch Ryoo, who grew up visiting this very Baskin Robbins. They’ll be making everything in-house, with flavors that change according to the season and customer demand. “I’m not opposed to crazy ingredients, as long as our customers like them,” says Timothy Ryoo. The Scoop is expected to make its debut in mid-summer and will be open in the evenings till 10 p.m.
