A locally owned gift shop — something we don’t see much of these days — just opened its doors at Pike & Rose. Olive & Loom, which replaces the Seasons oil and vinegar shop next to Stella Barra, specializes in artisan-made goods from Turkey and the U.S. The store is already set up for summer with brightly colored towels, cover-ups, beach bags and kimonos, plus soaps, bath products, pillows and kitchenware. Owner Ferzan Jaeger has another shop, Sabun Home in downtown Bethesda, but she’s closing that down to focus on Olive & Loom.
