
Less than a month after its stores closed across the country, Buy Buy Baby appears to be on the comeback trail in Rockville. Dream on Me, the New Jersey company that purchased Buy Buy Baby’s name and digital assets in bankruptcy court, also made a successful last-minute bid for 11 existing leases. Now the company says it will reopen at least some of those stores — including the one at Congressional Plaza — as early as this fall. “We have the ability to focus on the right places at the right time where the customers really want us back again,” Dream on Me investor Jonah Raskas told CNBC.
