Giant new jewel box for the mall
Liljenquist & Beckstead is more than doubling its presence at Westfield Montgomery mall, taking over two neighboring storefronts as it creates an entire wing of luxury jewelry and timepieces. The prime corner space will be dedicated to Rolex watches, and you’ll also see a much bigger selection of David Yurman jewelry. The store’s expansion has displaced two longtime retailers: Swarovski, which is relocating across from Apple, and Lush, which moved to the Nordstrom wing.
CalTort reopens — and more at Cabin John
California Tortilla reopened at Cabin John Village this week, with a revamped design (now featuring a Cava-style assembly line) and an expanded patio area. The Wall of Flame has an updated look — but it’s still got 75 different hot sauces to choose from. Meanwhile, next-door neighbor Capo Italian Deli tells us they’re still a couple of months away from opening. And so is another new tenant a few doors down: Indigo Physiotherapy, specializing in treatments for pelvic health, fertility care and postpartum issues.
Easter made effortless (and fancy): Let Rose's do the cooking

Construction is finally under way inside the former Lahinch restaurant at Cabin John Village, which has been standing empty for nearly a year since its owners called it quits. The new place will be a sister to Augie’s Mussel House and Beer Garden in Old Town Alexandria — but we’re hearing that this will be a whole different concept. New name: The Grove. New menu: TBD.
