Store Reporter has been scouting food trends on recent visits to New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. One thing we’ve noticed in those cities is the prevalence of cold-pressed juice bars, which use a high-pressure processing system to squeeze fruits and vegetables into very nutritious (and very pricey) beverages. In our area, Starbucks and Whole Foods carry some cold-pressed juices and they’ve just arrived on the shelves at Trader Joe’s. Soon they’ll also be available at Montgomery Mall’s new Cava Grill.
