Guess who’s moving into the former Sugo space at Park Potomac? Believe it or not, local favorite Gregorio’s has agreed to open a second location just two miles from its current digs at Cabin John Village. “We’re opening there but not closing here,” says Chris Fargiano, director of operations for the D.C.-area chain. Is there really enough demand for twin Italian restaurants just a couple of minutes apart? Fargiano says yes — especially since the new location will be walking distance for Park Potomac residents and closer to customers in Rockville. If you’re a fan of Gregorio’s at Cabin John, he says, you’ll definitely feel at home in the new location. “It’s going to be the same concept, same menu, same neighborhood feel, but maybe a little more trendy design.” After extensive renovations to the Sugo space, doors should open in mid-2022.
