Beefsteak, the veggie-centric restaurant from José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup, will not be reopening at Westfield Montgomery mall. In the continuing fallout from the coronavirus pandemic, the company has decided to permanently shutter all D.C.-area Beefsteak restaurants except the one at Foggy Bottom. This makes two confirmed departures from the Dining Terrace since the mall reopened, following last weekend’s closing of the Indian restaurant Mirch Masala. National chains like Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, Cold Stone Creamery and Kung Fu Tea are all back in business at the Dining Terrace, but most of the locally owned restaurants remained closed this week and seating is still off limits. Stay tuned to Store Reporter as we find out who else is coming back… and who isn’t.
