Local boutique A Beautiful Closet has closed its doors after 15 months at Westfield Montgomery mall. But owner Pamela Sofola, who also closed her store at The Wharf in D.C., says she’s scouting for a new location. “Customers loved the store when they came in,” she says. “But at Montgomery mall, especially being in the Nordstrom wing, I was expecting much better traffic.” Sofola, who designs some of the clothes she carries, says she’ll continue to sell online until she finds the right spot for another brick-and-mortar store. “I’m not going out of business,” she says. “I still have a lot of people who want to feel the clothing, touch the clothing and try it on before they buy.”
